By deconstructing the sketch, I discover forms that serve as a starting point for my small to medium sized abstract oil paintings on canvas. Colors are drawn from my memory as I slowly retrace each moment. Spontaneously yet carefully layered colors create subtle edges, and those edges define the forms. By distilling intimate experiences into a few forms and colors, I seek to preserve what remains after memory lets go of detail.
